Dear LaLuna Girls and parents,

We had a really lovely day celebrating and creating our May Crowns together with the garden in bloom and the sun shining bright, being grateful to have just completed our season-themed assault course that ended in a sweet May crowning for the girls.  I loved how their eyes lit up when I suggested doing this.  They seemed to dive straight into my suggestions of being an autumn leaf falling to the ground and then curling up like a little dormouse for winter.   Despite the thunderous downpour that threatened, we managed to miss the rain and finish just in time.

While making our crowns, a couple of the girls even managed to help me make a fire and toast some marshmallows on to honour this fire celebration of beltane.

In the next circle, we will be introducing the concept of cycles to the body and begin to map out the menstrual cycle, what the seasons represent, and what that might mean for them when they experience it for themselves.

We will be creating a floral womb that depicts the female internal anatomy and looking at what happens physiologically, but in a way that softens their perception of a potentially daunting prospect. This session brings the magic of the creative energy of the womb to their imagination.

Please, can the girls collect a few flowers to bring with them for their womb mandalas.  I invite you, as mothers, to help them gather flowers or choose flowers that they feel drawn to and if there is time to do this together as a meditative practice (not essential) to connect to nature but also the beauty and colours of the flowers.

And for those really inspired to ask the question, how do I feel as a girl or woman in relation to this flower? What ignites or opens in you when you witness these flowers? Is it the beauty, does it bring you peace, joy etc..

Action: Bring some flowers for the mandals

Looking forward to seeing you on the 14th June

All my Love

Daniella
