La Luna Girls Solstice Newsletter

Dear Mamas,
Firstly, apologies for the lateness of this newsletter. I've been waiting for a decision from one of the mums before contacting you.
Samaya and Kate have unfortunately decided to step out of the circle. Samaya was keen to return, but her parents were finding the logistics too challenging as they live quite far and her mother doesn't drive. I'm sure you'll all join me in wishing them a blessed journey onwards.
I'll leave them in the WhatsApp group for a couple of days in case anyone wants to say goodbye.
Do any of you follow me on Instagram? I shared a bit about our last circle — do check it out if you haven't seen it. It was quite an amazing circle for me, and it's been so validating that this work is part of my soul work. Since then, much has been stirring, and I'm excited to share some developments for Lalunagirls in due course.
I hope everyone is managing to stay cool in this beautiful weather following the solstice. It can often feel quite intense with the busyness of this time of year, so what better than to have the opportunity to come together in circle, slow down, and be present with your beautiful girl.
I'm so looking forward to our gathering on Sunday — such a special moment for the girls to share what they've been doing so far. I know my girls are beginning to feel tired as the end of the school year approaches, when everything seems to ramp up at the peak of summer energy.
Last circle, we began by recapping the different cycles in nature we've previously looked at, and introduced the menstrual cycle to that framework. We then discussed the emotional aspects that go along with this, and some of the things the girls might begin to experience over the course of their moon cycle.
This led us to look at some more specific anatomical and physiological changes that occur with the cycle itself, and softened this by creating the beautiful wombdalas. And then gifting the flowers to the tree as an offering of gratitude.
I know how eager the girls are to use the pool, so we'll keep the unveiling of our big mandala collage and sharing what the girls have learned relatively short, so we can make full use of the garden.
A few practical notes:
Please arrive on time
Sadly we can't accommodate siblings for this gathering (except babies in arms)
Please bring a snack to share — fruit, cake, crisps, dips — but no nuts, please.
Swimwear and a towel for both mum and daughter
Looking forward to seeing you then.
Much love,
Daniella
